VOLUNTEER
Volunteer with Sneha Karma Foundation
Give a few hours a week — from anywhere — and help a girl stay in school, learn a skill and earn a living.
Our volunteers are the heartbeat of our mission: students, professionals, parents and retirees who make time to give back. Whether you teach, mentor, fundraise, design or manage a program, there is a role that fits your skills and your schedule. You do not need nonprofit experience — just the willingness to help.
- Flexible — a few hours a week
- Remote or onsite
- No experience needed

Why volunteer with us
Sneha Karma Foundation runs on volunteers. By giving a few hours — or a specialised skill — you directly help keep girls in school and women earning in India. And you gain something too: purpose, a global network, and the knowledge that your effort changed a life.

Two ways to help
- Virtual volunteering — work from anywhere: teaching and mentoring, design, web, finance, social media, SEO, grant writing and more. Browse virtual roles.
- Onsite volunteering — work directly with our programs in India: English teaching, career mentoring and medical/dental clinics. Browse onsite roles.

What we ask of you
Commitment and reliability more than hours. A mentor who shows up each week changes a girl's trajectory; a designer who delivers one good campaign can raise funds for a whole cohort.

Why volunteering here is different
This is a lean, volunteer-powered organisation where the people who show up genuinely shape outcomes. There is little bureaucracy between you and the girls and women your work supports — a mentor influences a girl's week, a designer lifts an entire campaign, a grant writer unlocks a year of funding. Your time does not disappear into process; it shows up in results.

Where to start
If you have a few hours a month, choose a virtual role that matches your skills. If you can travel, an onsite placement in India is one of the most memorable things you will ever do. And if you would rather mobilise others, start a fundraiser. Whichever you choose, we provide the context, materials and support you need to contribute from day one.

Why volunteering matters
This is a lean organisation where the people who show up genuinely shape outcomes.
- There is little bureaucracy between you and the work.
- Volunteers save us costs that become funding for girls.
- Your skills are put to real, visible use.

What this involves

- Virtual volunteers work from anywhere on skills we would otherwise pay for.
- Onsite volunteers work directly with girls and communities in India.
- Fundraisers mobilise their networks for support.
The difference it makes
Everything here serves one purpose: giving underprivileged girls and women the same opportunity as anyone else — to learn, to earn and to decide their own future. Every hour, rupee and effort is measured against that standard. Because we are volunteer-led with overhead under 10%, your involvement goes further than you might expect, and its effect shows in a real life rather than a line item.
